Special Delivery Baby Shower celebration at Laughlin AFB

USO San Antonio was excited to bring USO Core Program: Special Delivery Baby Shower to Laughlin Air Force Base community! Our guests had a lovely time, filled with fun games: “Let’s Get to Know Each other” Bingo & Guess the # of Sweets in the jar; giveaways, delicious food spread, bib decorating activity and got a chance to celebrate this special time together! Thank you to Family Advocacy Program for providing great resources and tips. USO Special Delivery provides a celebration for expectant military families who are often stationed far from home and away from friends and family. Given this distance, many military families will not be thrown a baby shower. The USO fills that void and ensures military families have a chance to celebrate this important life milestone, and also make meaningful connections with other expectant military families. These families feel understood and supported by a larger community during a phase of life that can be filled with strong, mixed emotions. #theUSO
